Arindam Chakravarty was born in a Music loving family of Kolkata(India).He was initiated in Tabla by his parents at the early age of five under the able guidance of the legendary Acharya Pandit Shankar Ghosh and has continued taking lessons from him for Twenty Seven Years and is a “Ganda Bandh” student of Panditji. Arindam is a versatile and young Virtuoso of his generation  representing Indian Classical Music in the field of Tabla of Farrukhabad Gharana and an "A" Grade Artist of All India Radio & Doordarshan (Government of India). He also took lessons in Carnatic Percussion Music from Vidwan S.Sekhar. He is keen on escalating the instrument’s popularity along with the traditional style of playing to newer and greater heights collaborating with various World famous Musicians all around the Globe. Arindam has been associated and performed with several noteworthy legends and renowned musicians all over the World with his great dexterity and expertise. As a young man, Arindam has lived up to the words and reputations of his Guru mastering the intricacies of Tabla as a Soloist as well as an accompanist. He has performed in several noteworthy Indian and International Music Festivals. He has been performing and teaching for the last 20 years. Presently he is the Head of the Department in Instrumental Music in the field of Tabla in Malhaar Centre For Performing Arts in Dubai.
